AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 193-bed hospital in central Florida, seeks an experienced Program Director to develop our NEW General Surgery Graduate Medical Education program.

The program will start in July 2028 with 3 residents per program year. We’re looking for a General Surgeon who has the desire to be a part of a growing program, a passion for medical education, and who will place a priority on collaboration, quality of care, and the patient and resident experience.

Program Director Qualifications:

  • Be duly licensed to practice medicine in Florida
  • Demonstrate ongoing clinical and scholarly activity
  • Be eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
  • Be an active member in good standing of the AdventHealth Medical Staff
  • Hold current certification in relevant specialty by ABMS or AOA.
  • Have at least three (3) years of relevant, specialty specific, documented educational and/or administrative experience.
