Location: Sebring, FL - Specialty: Certified Nurse Midwife
AdventHealth Medical Group in Sebring is seeking to employ a dynamic Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing team. If you are passionate about providing the highest quality whole-person care in a collaborative environment where patients, staff and colleagues value and respect your expertise and ideas, we'd love to speak with you. Team comprised of OBGYNs, APRNs, Family Medicine OBs as well as community OBGYNs and CNMs. We're the only facility to deliver in 8 counties (approximately 65 mile radius). Currently we are delivering around 100 babies a month in the hospital.
Ideal candidate should expect:
- Highly collaborative work environment along with mentoring Family Medicine residents and 3rd/4th year medical students

- To see patients in the office including both maternity and gynecology care

Ideal candidate should have:
- 2+ years’ experience as midwife in hospital setting
- Care for patients using evidence-based medicine with a focus on patient safety and patient satisfaction
- Ability to perform (or desire to learn) office procedures
Education, Licensure, and Certification Required:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing with Midwifery Certification
- Three years of experience as RN preferred
- Certification of Nurse Midwifery (CNM) program accredited by American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)

You Will Be Responsible For:
- Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of self-care, psychosocial needs, education, environment and discharge planning, incorporating information from the identified significant other and other health providers.
- Utilizes skills of observation, inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation using diagnostic instruments or laboratory procedures that are basic to the screening of physical signs and symptoms.
- Utilizes fetal monitoring screening for auscultating, monitoring, and assessment of fetal heart tones.
- Assesses learning needs, readiness, and capabilities of patient/family, including cultural, religious practices, language barriers, emotional barriers, educational level, motivation and limitations.
- Documents patient care findings within established standards and accreditation requirements.
- Manages the medical plan of care prescribed for the client, based on protocols or guidelines adopted jointly by the certified nurse midwife, and attending physician. Review and revise protocols/guidelines annually. Addresses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, educational, and discharge needs.
- Initiates referrals to external or internal care providers or community agencies as needed.
- Seeks appropriate resources to clarify information concerning the nursing/medical care regime as needed. Coordinates care by collaborating with physicians and others to obtain appropriate services, including multidisciplinary team meetings.

Job Summary:
The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a professional nurse licensed in Florida to function in an expanded role to provide primary health care to individuals, families or groups. The Certified Nurse Midwife functions in a collegial relationship with physicians and other health professionals in the delivery of primary health care services. They are able to make independent decisions with physicians in carrying out health regimens for families and clients. The Certified Nurse Midwife is directly accountable and responsible to the patient.

The Role you'll contribute:
The APRN functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (surgical and non-surgical). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners.
Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Provide services similar to those of a physician including but not limited to:
- Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions.
- Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s) and documents as necessary.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patient's family, staff, and healthcare learners.
- Focus on patient wellness and disease prevention/
- Provide health education services and/or counsel patients on how to make healthy lifestyle choices
- Participate in code blue and rapid response teams to provide immediate critical care support.
- Procedures performed, but no not limited to, insertion and management of arterial catheters, central venous caterers, pulmonary artery catheters, chest tubes and other procedures commensurate with an ICU environment, CPR; airway management including bag and mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and extubation, repositioning endotracheal tubes; and defibrillation.
- Directing administration of life supporting drugs according to established protocols
- Performs and participates in quality/performance improvement activities, process enhancements, regulatory compliance, and clinical research
- Will need to work weekdays, weekends, nights and holidays
Education and Experience Required:
- MSN (Masters of Nursing) (Acute Care Certificated Required)
- 1 year as APRN in the ICU
- Previous Experience in a leadership role (preferred)
- Provides direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising MD
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:
- Acute Care Certificate Required for APRN's
- Current ACLS and BLS Certification
- Current, valid Florida APRN License
- FCCS, ATLS Certifications (highly preferred but not required)
Location: Tampa , FL - Specialty: Radiology Assistant, General
Registered Radiologist Assistant - AdventHealth Tampa-AHMG
Under Radiologist(s) supervision, the Registered Radiologist Assistant fulfills the responsibilities necessary to produce quality images. These responsibilities involve participation in a variety of technical procedures, including imaging, cardiology and invasive, which deliver quality care to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Performs a full range of imaging procedures under the appropriate levels of supervision and operates all imaging equipment in assigned department.
- Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patients of all ages (neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics).
- Performs patient assessment pre and post procedure. Utilizes effective questioning strategies, listening and speaking skills, and applies nonverbal communication techniques as appropriate during patient communication.
- Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, performs all required imaging projections for given procedure. Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before administering exam.
- Evaluates images for completeness, diagnostic quality and utility, and recommends additional images as required. Repeats any view that fails to include all required anatomical structures or lacks proper contrast and spatial resolution.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in healthcare related field
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - R.R.A.
- Florida State License Radiologist Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
- Masters degree in healthcare related field (Preferred)
- ARRT (NM) (Preferred)
- Florida State License Nuclear Medicine (Preferred)
