This individual should be accomplished in all facets of cardiothoracic surgery, leading a team of cardiovascular surgeons and have interest in research and teaching. The AdventHealth Cardiovascular Surgery group located at Pepin Heart Institute, includes a well-established group of 5 cardiothoracic surgeons, as well as our AdventHealth Medical Group Heart Care at Tampa including interventional, structural, non-invasive, heart failure, EP and vascular surgery physicians.
Located in the city's uptown district, AdventHealth Tampa serves Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and the surrounding counties. The hospital is a known leader in implementing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures and recently opened the Taneja Center for Surgery, a new six-story, state-of-the-art surgical and patient tower. AdventHealth Digestive Institute is currently recruiting a board certified/board eligible, fellowship trained HIPEC/Sarcoma/Melanoma surgeon to join our Tampa HPB Practice. This team is comprised of the region’s most comprehensive medical and surgical care physicians for conditions and diseases of the digestive system. Join our Digestive Institute team of six GI physicians, APP’s, two colorectal surgeons, two HPB surgeons, six general surgeons, and speech language therapist.
To meet the needs of growth in the community, we are adding this new position who will specifically join the surgical team led by Dr. Sharona Ross and Dr. Iswanto Sucandy, both world-renowned surgeons. Dr. Ross and Dr. Sucandy specialize in robotic complex abdominal operations for esophageal, stomach, and Hepatopancreatobiliary diseases. Both surgeons lead an Advanced GI, Foregut, and HPB Surgery fellowship program at AdventHealth Tampa. They are looking for a partner to further enrich the HPB and abdominal oncology program. A surgeon that specializes specifically in HIPEC treatments for cancer and Sarcomas will be best suited for this position.
