Education, Licensure, and Certification Required:

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant to join our growing team in Ocala, FL. This role focuses on outpatient cardiology care, supporting patients with cardiovascular conditions through diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care under physician supervision.
  • Conduct physical exams, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure).
  • Adjust pacemaker settings and interpret electrocardiograms.
  • Supervise and interpret nuclear and treadmill stress tests.
  • Provide post-procedural follow-up and anticoagulation therapy management.
  • Assist with or independently perform minor in-office procedures.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

The role you’ll contribute:

Provides medical treatment under the supervision of the physicians for AdventHealth Medical Group. Conducts patient examinations and follow-ups, provides treatment plans, and counsels patients. May, in some cases, prescribe medication. This medical care will be provided within the framework of the hospital’s medical staff department’s policies and procedures. Works with complex surgical patients both pre- and post-operatively. Assists in major surgical procedures and performs minor procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Thorough knowledge of techniques required for diagnosing, treating, prescribing medicines for pre- and post-operative patients.
  • Good knowledge in providing personal services such as meeting the quality norms, and evaluation of customer or patient satisfaction.
  • Should be an active listener, learner, with critical thoughts, reasoning and possess good judgment skills to make decisions using scientific methods and tools to provide solutions to problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 169-bed hospital in central Florida, seeks a BC/BE Traditional ObGyn physician to join our growing Graduate Medical Education Team.

Our GME program started in July 2024 with 8 residents per program year. We’re looking for an ObGyn who has the desire to be a part of a growing program, a passion for medical education, and who will place a priority on collaboration, quality of care, and the patient and resident experience. ObGyn will join two FMOBs and be the first ObGyn on our Wesley Chapel GME team. Candidate can expect to be an integral part of growing our program and developing the ObGyn portion of our curriculum.
