The OB/GYN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) functions as a member of the OB/GYN medical care management team.  May diagnose medical conditions, plan, and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. Depending on the practice, the APRN may be required to take practice call.

Provide services similar to those of a physician.

  • Provides Direct Patient Care in Floors and Units.
  • Assists physicians with coordination of clinical activities and orders.

AdventHealth is seeking a dynamic and experienced, board-certified OB GYN physician to serve as Program Director of our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at AdventHealth Tampa. The Program Director will have a strong passion for teaching and will develop a state-of-the art program based at AdventHealth Tampa. The OB GYN residency is comprised of a total of 3 residents per year. The new program director would have the responsibility to develop and lead the program in compliance with ACGME guidelines. Candidate should be interested in and experienced with a residency program to enhance program visibility as well as increase the number of accepted residents each year. Duties would be split between dedicated administrative time, teaching residents/medical students, patient care and surgery. A minimum of five years’ experience in Graduate Medical Education as an Associate Program Director or Program Director is required for consideration.

The ideal candidate should bring a vision to increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations. Dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth are required.
